On May 18, 2025, the festival “Babalar tili – Múzeıler úni” (“Language of the Ancestors – Voice of Museums”) was held on the central square of the city of Konaev with the support of the Akim of the Almaty Region. The event was dedicated to the International Museum Day.
The team of the Esik State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve actively participated in this cultural and educational event and presented an extensive exhibition titled “The Golden Man – Sensation of the Century.”
The director of the Esik Museum-Reserve, Gulmira Rayylovna Mukhtarova, shared her thoughts: “This year we celebrated International Museum’s Day on a truly large scale. Visitors had the opportunity to explore historical artifacts presented by various museums, engage in dialogue with museum professionals, and discover much new information about our national history.
The exhibition dedicated to the values of the Golden Man era and the history of the Saka-Usun period, the heroism of our ancestors, and the legacy of great figures — all in promotion of the ancient history and culture of our country — was highly praised by both participants and guests of the festival.”
The exhibition presented by the Issyk Museum-Reserve was structured into four main sections, arranged chronologically and thematically: The History of the Discovery, Description of the Golden Man, Historical Context and Saka Culture, National Heritage and Symbolism
The main goal of the exhibition was to educate the public about history, promote the image of the Golden Man, increase interest in national culture, and boost tourism appeal.
As part of the festival, in addition to the exhibition, a concert program was presented, as well as a theatrical performance illustrating the historical journey of our ancestors and conveying the essence of the spiritual values of the nation.
